International Summer School on “Sustainability and Nanotechnology”
The International Summer School on “Sustainability and Nanotechnology” will be organized prior to the ISEPD 2018 meeting from 19 – 21.2.2018 and is a perfect add-on dediacted especially to young researchers at all levels. Young researches are invited to book the complete conference package including summer school and ISEPD 2018 conference for special rates.
This summit will establish a novel platform integrating two most critical facets of materials science namely materials innovation and sustainability manifested in the concepts of nanotechnology and ecological pathways towards materials development. Nanotechnology holds enormous potential for providing smart materials solutions. A proper integration of nanochemistry and ecological concepts for materials processing hold the key towards sustainable development as manifested through the superior performance of nanomaterials in numerous applications, including medicine, energy, and advanced manufacturing. This summer school will target innovative materials compositions and structures (porous materials, core-shell morphologies, etc.) and their device applications to demonstrate materials innovations beyond the state-of-the-art. From an application viewpoint greener technologies having an improved socio-economic impact through fast development and transfer of lab scale innovation to industrial applications will be in focus. Materials development strategies that will enhance the overall technological and innovation capacity through high materials economy and minimization of waste as well as that offer higher resource efficiency will be in the focus.
